elliott hartman

Equipped with a BS in Theatre and Gender / Sexuality Studies from Northwestern University, Ell hopes to bring audiences joy, curiosity, and recognition. Working as a director, his resume ranges from realism to verse to musical theater and heavily features new work. As an adapter, he focuses on bringing the stories of the past into a modern context. He also performs, makes films, and designs graphics (projects listed below). Originally from Albuquerque (New Mexico, USA), Hartman loves Chicago for its people, its challenges, and its rent. By day, he  teaches toddlers how to be people. Frequent collaborators include Elise Ammondson, Jason Clark, Danica Rosengren, and Ryan Martin.
