Originally from Albuquerque (New Mexico, USA), Ell hopes to bring audiences joy, curiosity, and recognition. Working as a director, his resume ranges from sexy to sad to musical theater and heavily features new work. As an adapter, he focuses on bringing the stories of the past into a modern context. He also performs, makes films, and designs graphics (projects listed below). Frequent collaborators include Elise Ammondson, Jason Clark, Danica Rosengren, Ryan Martin, Blair Nodelman, and Taylor Cody Beck. Ell received his BS from Northwestern University with a double major in Theatre and Gender & Sexuality Studies. It shows.
